All of the images in my blog are re-blogged from outside sources and are not mine unless otherwise noted. I love fire spinning, the color green, nebulae, and visceral horror. I also have a slight obsession with Japan, Panic at the Disco, and Adrien Brody. Expect a little bit of everything from this blog. I reblog and post a lot! I have a blog that is specifically for art/illustration, and that is http://xoexoskeleton.tumblr.com/

Things I’m Obsessing Over Recently

  • Floral EVERYTHING
  • Floaty, gauzy dresses
  • Patches of light on hardwood floors
  • Pastels (this is shocking coming from me, little Miss Former Uber-Goth Extraordinaire) I like looking at them, not wearing them. They look terrible with my olive skin tone
  • Flannel shirts
  • Bookmaking
  • Egon Schiele
  • Couture fashion (the silhouettes are so sexy, and the sculptural elements make for great negative space)
  • Watercolor
  • Girly stuff
  • French paintings from the 1700’s

I guess being in love brings out the desire to wear floral patterns and coo over puppies and kittens. Well, I already did the latter, but you get the idea XD

I’m not a tomboy in any sense of the word, but I’m usually so guarded with my emotions that I tend not to let a lot of stuff show through, even when I’m happy. The way I see it is that if I let my guard down, people can come right on in and rip me to a pulpy, bloody mess. My last relationship pretty much ruined any trust I had left in me, and my guards went up like the Great Wall of China x 10. Only recently have I been feeling comfortable enough to start letting them down. I guess finding new and different things utterly engrossing comes with that territory. Plus, like I said before, being in love has something to do with it, too.

I will always have my guards in place, even if I am completely comfortable around somebody. It’s something I have to work on, but I’ve gotten a lot better.
